Why clean your mattress?
Cleaning mattresses is necessary for removing allergy inducing dust mites
Beds are a prime habitat of dust mites, which can typically hold one third of all house’s dust mites. A typical mattress may have anywhere from 100,000 to 10 million mites inside, which will spread to your bedding and clothes no matter how much you clean.
10% of the weight of a two year old pillow can be made up of dead mites and their droppings.
Whilst dust mites are not harmful to all people their microscopic shedding and faeces are a major constituent of household dust. This dust can exacerbate or even cause allergic reactions in some individuals, including asthma, eczema and hay fever.
If you're suffering from asthma, eczema or sleepless nights it may be because your mattress isn’t cleaned, and you’re sleeping with countless dust mites and fungi. Every movement can cause the mattress and bedding to release dust and garbage into the air. We spend a third of our life in bed yet fail to sanitize it properly.
Regular cleaning of mattresses will remove these allergens ensuring you, your family and your guests have a restful night’s sleep.
When cleaning mattresses we keep the mattress in the bed-frame, and do not use chemicals.
